The foundation’s mission is to promote and enhance public education in Manchester by providing financial support for educational projects, enrichment programs and other educational initiatives.

 

Grant proposals are now being accepted. Please submit an application by one of the following deadlines:   

     October 19, 2009
     December 14, 2009
     February 15, 2010

Cuban-themed 4-course dinner, prepared by students in MCC’s Culinary program:
  • Cuban Bread
  • Gazpacho soup or Avocado/Radish/Cucumber salad
  • Orange Tahitian Chicken
  • Glazed Sweet Potatoes
  • Seasoned fresh green beans
  • Tropical Bread pudding

Featured Project
MHS teacher Beth Penney applied for a grant to build a Hovercraft with her technology education students. The students worked on the project throughout the 2008-2009 school year, including taking boating classes to obtain licenses to operate the craft. In June 2009, students took the craft for its maiden voyage on the Connecticut River, racing against Parrish Hill High School. Take a look here.
